The co-CEO and founder of MAP Group, José Rui Meneses e Castro, was present at the “No Filters”, conference, an event organised by Diário Imobiliário, which brought together experts from various fields to discuss the current technological revolution and its impacts on the real estate sector, architecture, and construction in Portugal.
Held at the new Technal space in Lisbon, this event featured a panel of renowned speakers who addressed topics such as the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling), the transformation of the sector through artificial intelligence, and the importance of equipping professionals to work with these technologies.
During the debate, José Rui Meneses e Castro highlighted the essential role of BIM in project efficiency:
“The great challenge for architects will be to use this tool as a means of improving efficiency, reducing errors, timelines, and costs, while ensuring a higher-quality final product. I see BIM as an essential tool for the design, execution, and operation of buildings, fostering more efficient and sustainable projects.”
The conference also addressed the need to balance human creativity with technological advancements, ensuring that innovation remains a complement rather than a replacement for human skills.
The MAP Group, as a business ecosystem, reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainability—fundamental principles that guide all its operations, from the construction of large developments to the management of portfolios and investments in new technologies. Events like this reflect the group’s ambition to lead and inspire the real estate market, promoting innovative and responsible solutions for a more efficient and integrated future.
