Porto is currently experiencing a period of unique transformation, establishing itself as one of the most dynamic cities in Europe in which to invest, work and live. Against this backdrop, CNN Portugal, in collaboration with Vida Imobiliária, dedicated an episode of the Metro Quadrado programme to Francos Workplace, an investment project by MAP Real Estate, a MAP Group company, in partnership with the international firm Osborne+Co.
Francos Workplace promises to transform our perception of workspaces. Designed by Openbook atelier, the project comprises two buildings located next to the Francos metro station. It will offer over 18,000 sqm of office space, collaboration areas, coworking spaces, leisure facilities, a gym, restaurants, an auditorium and a public rooftop terrace.
According to Diogo Abecasis, Co-CEO of MAP Group, the new office will be “a very complete and versatile workspace with plenty of natural light and a horizontal layout that encourages interaction and communication between teams. Our goal is to create a space that is as functional as it is inspiring.”
Combining innovation with sustainability is one of the project’s core principles. Francos Workplace is being developed with the aim of obtaining LEED Platinum, EU Taxonomy and WELL Platinum international certifications. José Rui Meneses e Castro, Co-CEO of MAP Group, emphasises that the offer must be sustainable in an integrated way, from the environmental concerns of construction to the conditions that allow users to live a more balanced life.
The impact of Franco’s workplace extends far beyond architecture. Its strategic location opposite one of Porto’s main underground stations offers unparalleled accessibility, quickly connecting employees and companies to the rest of the city. But that’s not all: the project was designed to foster a sense of community, providing meeting spaces for both employees and the local population.
Commitment to the future
Francos Workplace’s arrival in Invicta is further proof of MAP Group’s commitment to the future of cities, creating sustainable value, and innovation in real estate.
This project reinforces MAP Group’s position as a complete ecosystem capable of investing in, building, operating and maintaining excellent projects that truly transform the territory and improve people’s lives.
