Técnico Rugby Club and MAP Group have signed a historic agreement, with MAP Group becoming one of the Club’s Official Main Sponsors for the next three years. As part of this partnership, the stadium will be renamed MAP Group Técnico Rugby Campus, underlining the alignment of values and the shared commitment to the future of the sport.
The official inauguration of this new chapter took place on September 27 at the Club’s facilities.
The agreement runs until the end of the 2027/28 season and guarantees not only essential financial support for Técnico’s sustainability and self-sufficiency, but also in-kind contributions, including infrastructure improvement works. MAP Group’s support has already enabled, for example, the expansion and full renovation of the gym, equipping it with the top-level conditions a competitive team needs to enhance its performance.
The partnership between Técnico Rugby Club and MAP Group is, above all, an opportunity for joint growth. While the Club gains financial stability, better training conditions, and access to new networks of collaboration in the engineering sector, MAP Group strengthens its connection with the community, supports a sports project with strong social impact, and sees its name featured on the senior team’s jerseys and on the stadium itself — now named MAP Group Técnico Rugby Campus. This is a relationship that creates value for both sides and is built on equal terms.
According to Técnico Rugby Club’s Board: “This agreement is a decisive step for the future of our Club. It represents stability, ambition, and the possibility of continuing to grow with responsibility and vision. It is also proof that Técnico remains an attractive sporting and social project, one that inspires confidence among leading partners. Together, we want to keep uniting, training, and winning.”
MAP Group added: “Partnering with Técnico Rugby Club is a source of great satisfaction for us. We share values such as discipline, teamwork, and the ambition to build a solid and sustainable future. This sponsorship is more than financial support: it is a long-term partnership designed to leave a positive mark on people, on sport, and on the community.”
