This project at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon aimed at the complete renovation of two of its auditoriums, modernizing them with the most advanced and sophisticated technologies, combined with contemporary and functional architecture. The project was designed to transform the spaces, providing a more efficient environment tailored to the institution’s new pedagogical and technological demands.
The focus of the renovation was to create auditoriums that were not only aesthetically modern but also highly functional, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. High-definition sound and projection systems, intelligent lighting, excellent acoustic solutions, and ergonomic furniture were integrated to ensure the best experience for both professors and students. Additionally, the layout was redesigned to maximize comfort and visibility, promoting more effective interaction and dynamic learning.
One of the major challenges of this project was its execution within a very tight deadline, as the entire intervention took place during the summer vacation period, a limited window of time. Despite this constraint, the project was completed within the stipulated timeframe, allowing the fully renovated auditoriums to be delivered before the start of the academic year, ensuring they were ready to meet the students’ academic needs. The success of this project was the result of rigorous coordination and efficient collaboration between all parties involved. The timely completion and the final quality of the work exceeded the client’s expectations, ensuring that the new auditoriums were not only ready for use on time but also stood out as benchmark spaces within the university, optimized for excellence in teaching.
